This was one of the greatest all-time matches. However, why does the feed prematurely abort at 2h42m14s?!?
Según el propio Sampras este es el mejor partido de su historia como tenista
Absolutely, this match is so brutal. Nothing comes close to it.
“Two great players playing great at the same time,” Sampras said, “That doesn’t often happen.”
The greatest SVer brought his A game to an A game of the best counterpuncher and returner ever.
That match was a showcase of contrast that tennis is now sadly without.
CLASH OF TITANS
Definitely one of the greatest of all 34 matches Sampras and Agassi played. Four tie-breaks in four sets, now that’s something you don’t see every day. For my money this was real tennis, not today’s soporific ralleys.
PS The Russian commentators could use some silence!
And your comment is ridiculously irrelevant.
Thanks for uploading. I’ve seen a lot of tennis over the years including in the days Connors was playing before there was a McEnroe on the scene and I’ve seen all the Federer Nadal matches. Nothing comes close to this particular match. Never seen anything like it. A close one was the Murray-Djokovich slugfest Australian semi-finals 2012 but very different styles. This is totally unreal.
hehe
were the finals delayed? and by how many days?
i would have beaten both
these are russians, and they even don’t talk about the match, they discuss movies, and why russians are always bad portrayd in american movies
A good match, but the sad part is that there is no volume
WHAT.A.MATCH
They are trying to hit winners at the earliest opportunity unlike today’s players who hope to let the opponent make an error and thus end up with long rallies. Also Sampras was the last tennis player who ‘attacked the net’ – so sad that an entire aspect of the game is extinct.
l guess i’m used to modern 30-ball rally tennis, but the speed of these points is ridiculously fast. their rallies, when they don’t make errors are ridiculously good
This was also just a few days before 9/11/01
I hate tennis, but I was given free tickets to this match by a close friend of mine and it was pretty impressive. 48 games or something insane like that……..
exactly… I’ve been complaining about this for years and it only seems to be getting worse, not better.
Why do these commentators talk so damn much? They are sooooo annoying. When a player goes to serve you STFU!
This is the best match I’ve ever seen. I remember watching it on TV and I coulnd’t believe what I saw. Words cant describe it, end of story. Thanks for uploading, I can’t seem to find it anywhere else.
